Curriculum for Year 2016

Program Overview

Through open forums, guest speakers, conferences, projects, community service activities we aim to give the young women a better understanding of issues that they will encounter in life such as respect, self-esteem, love, becoming a woman, influences, women of the world, leadership and community service. 

FRUIT Program Outline

The table below outlines the activities for one (1) calendar year. Every meeting starts with a journal entry to encourage women to write leisurely. Occasionally we will have “Woman of the meeting ” in which a prize is awarded to the most active participant at the end of the meeting.

The Women of The WorldProject: Women of virtue.For the next one month, groups of 3 are responsible for working on a presentation about an influential woman or any group of women and their way of life.

April 16Now, Go Live Your Best LifeMentoring/ Speaker Series. (Breakfast Meeting)Invite a Speaker to come in and share their talent/ skill/ story with women
Outreach to Secondary school students (Guest Speakers, Workshop) This forum teaches young women about the changes occurring in their bodies and hygiene. Visit to Primary and secondary schools for talks to girls and donation of items: Sanitary towels, toilet rolls , underwears etc
Post Program EvaluationWomen will take the survey to evaluate personal growth and the effectiveness of the program.
Discuss suggestions for future programs.

August 16Life SkillsLaunch Skill acquisition
centre for the underpriviledged
Launch the Skill acquisition centre and accept volunteer mentors and facilitators
Special DinnerA dinner to discuss about life, marital and career issues.
Community Service/PhilanthropyCommunity Service ProjectDiscuss the logistics of the Community Service Project. Organize, fold and box donated items.
